A Missouri man has been charged with murdering his ex-girlfriend, who has been missing for more than a week.
Trenton Ivy has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of Marquisha Williams, who was reported missing by her family on Dec. 20, according to a news release from St. Louis County police. Louis. The couple shares four children, St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Authorities said an investigation into her whereabouts revealed she was last seen with Ivy, 31, in her 2020 Jeep Compass. Williams’ aunt, Sandy Bagley, told KDSK that surveillance footage showed the two dropped off their 2-year-old that morning son in kindergarten.

“Maybe they were arguing that morning,” Bagley said. – The baby continued to cry, and the scene looked a bit stressful.
Bagley also told the outlet that they split earlier this year and that Williams “started seeing someone else.”
Two days later, Ivy was taken into custody in Racine, Wisc. for unrelated charges that include use of a dangerous weapon, resisting arrest by an officer and fleeing an officer in a vehicle, according to St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

According to the St. Louis, Ivy was driving Williams’ vehicle at the time of his arrest on Dec. 22, which contained personal items belonging to Williams along with “blood and biological material.” He admitted to killing Williams during a post-Miranda interview with Racine Police Department detectives, police said.
“The defendant further admitted to having a physical altercation with Williams, which resulted in her death. He then admitted to dumping her body at an unknown location,” the statement said.
During an interview with KDSK, Bagley remembered Williams as someone who “was very, very sweet, calm and sweet.”
“She loved her children and we all loved being with her. My niece was so excited about Christmas and was really looking forward to celebrating the holidays with us and her four children,” she added.
Williams’ body was found Thursday in northern Illinois by state police, according to KTVI.
Family member Norvette Chavis Williams told KTVI she was glad for the closure.
