Mohan Juneja was born in 1967 in Tumkur, Karnataka (46 years old in 2020). Due to the nature of his father’s job, his family kept moving and he kept changing schools. He received his higher education in Bangalore. He started working in theater as a student and later joined drama school to learn the ins and outs of drama and acting. Mohan revealed in an interview,

He made his Kannada film debut in 1989 in Shankar Nag’s Kannada film Wall Poster. He not only played comic roles in Kannada and Telugu films but also played villains in various Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam films. His noteworthy films include “Chellata”, “Lakshmi” (2018), “Snehitharu” (2012) and “Koko” (2012). In 2013, he acted in a total of 5 films including “Pade Pade”, “Brindavanam”, “Kumbha Rashi” and “Sweety”. His cameo appearance in Prashanth Neel’s KGF: Chapter 1 and its sequel KGF: Chapter 2 earned him appreciation for his dialogues.
He acted in more than a hundred films during his career and shared screen space with celebrities like Puneeth, Darshan, Ambareesh, Upendra and Shivarajkumar. Apart from films, Mohan has also made a name for himself on television. He has acted in several TV series, including Nagathihalli Chandrashekar’s Vitara, which was a huge success and ran for more than 1,000 episodes. The series made him a household name and gave him the chance to carve out the identity he always wanted. He said in an interview,

The actor was reportedly suffering from a long-term liver-related ailment. He was admitted to a private hospital in Bengaluru for treatment and breathed his last on Saturday, May 7, 2022. After confirming the news of Mohan Junijah’s death, Hombale Films took to Twitter to express condolences to the actor.
