Moment man has instant karma as he’s Tasered after kicking a police officer in the FACE amid huge brawl

THE SHOCKING moment a man kicked a police officer in the face during a brawl in Manchester has been caught on video.

Authorities were rushed to reports of a disturbance at the AO Arena in Manchester City Center at around 11.50pm on 2 September.

The footage shows two officers wrestling a man to the ground before another runs up and punches one of them square in the face.

The robber then backed away before being tasered, causing him to grab and immediately fall to the floor.

Onlookers in the video watched uneasily as police tried to resolve the situation as quickly as possible.

The video ends with the two men on the floor as officers take control and arrest them at the scene.

The video was posted on Twitter, now X, and went viral with more than 3.9 million views and 7,000 likes.

One person wrote: “Instant karma” under the video, while another said: “Well done to those two cops.”

Greater Manchester Police have confirmed that a 42-year-old man and an 18-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of assaulting an ambulance worker.

Both have since been released on bail pending further investigation. A police spokeswoman said: “On Saturday 2 September 2023 at around 11.50pm, officers were called to reports of a disturbance at the AO Arena in Manchester City Centre.

“One of the officers present while responding to the incident was attacked by a man believed to be involved in the disturbance.

“The officer then used proportionate force and activated a Taser to safely detain the man, and two were arrested at the scene.

“A 42-year-old man and an 18-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of having committed the crime of joint attack on an ambulance worker and they were taken into custody for further questioning.

“The two men have since been released on bail pending further enquiries.”

Chief Superintendent Phil Spurgeon, from GMP’s City of Manchester district, added: “This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

“Our officers were engaged in this incident and were faced with a challenging situation where an officer was assaulted by a man while he was simply doing his job.

“Since then, we continue to support the officer. The officers on the scene used appropriate force and tactics to maintain public safety amid the disturbance.

“We are still carrying out inquiries into the incident and are appealing for anyone who attended the event, witnessed the event or has any information that would assist our investigation to come forward.”
