Morfydd Clark Portrayed As A Galadriel In “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power”

Morfydd Clark will play Galadriel in Amazon Studios’ upcoming fantasy series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. The series is a prequel to the film trilogy The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, both based on the works of JRR Tolkien. The Rings of Power is a prequel to the film series that takes place a thousand years before the events of The Hobbit.

On Thursday, September 1, 2022, at 6:00 PM PT/9:00 PM ET, the first two episodes of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will be released on Amazon Prime Video. Galadriel is mentioned in the book as the daughter of Prince Nolodor and is recognized as one of the best elves in Middle Earth. She is also known as the Lady of Lothlorien Forest as she and her husband Celeborn jointly control Lothlorien. During this period, the pair meet Annatar, the Lord of Gifts, and collaborate on the design of rings of power. Galadriel wore Nenya, one of the three elven rings of power.

Morfydd Clark is a Welsh actress best known for playing Maud in Saint Maud and Dora Spenlow in The Personal History of David Copperfield. In the latter, she played David Copperfield’s mother as a supporting role. Clark was nominated for a BAFTA Rising Star Award and a British Independent Thriller Award for her role in the psychological horror film Saint Maud. Clark will also star in the Netflix/BBC co-production Dracula in 2020. Clark’s other notable credits include Eternal Beauty, The Man Who Invented Christmas, and Crawl.
