One day, a woman heard a duckling on her way to work and stopped to check. After taking a closer look, she found the ducklings trapped in the drainage tunnel while their mother was trying to help them at the tunnel entrance!
It was clear the duckling needed help, so the woman called Dan Martin, a local wildlife rescuer, who immediately came to help.
Martin tried to find where the ducklings were, but they were nowhere to be found, leading him to believe he had to save the ducklings because they would never make it through on their own!
So he went into the tunnel and followed the sound until he found the ducklings. Unfortunately, one of them died, but the others were saved by Martin.
He then returns the ducklings to their mother, who is happy to see them again.
He also makes sure the ducks are safe by taking them to a safe grassy area away from the road! How great!
