Mozzy Do Was Charged With A One-Year Sentence For Gun Possession

On July 28, Mozzy turned himself in to authorities and was sentenced to a year in prison on federal weapons charges stemming from a traffic collision in January 2021. The rapper said in a statement:

“Life comes to you quickly. Sometimes s**t happens, you have to accept the offer. This is about to get nasty. I value my family. Chest out, chin up. “I adore you the most.”

Mozzy, also known as Timothy Cornell Patterson, pleaded guilty to the weapons charge in January 2022 and was denied probation by his attorney. Patterson is scheduled to be released from prison on July 23, 2023.

Mozzy’s allegations have been cleared up

Timothy’s latest sentence is the result of federal weapons charges stemming from a traffic stop in Culver City, California last January. Officers stopped Patterson and searched his car, discovering a Glock 26 handgun, 16 rounds of 9mm ammunition and some marijuana. The police took him into custody on the spot, but he was later released on bail.

Patterson sent a letter to the local court after sentencing, stating:

“This case taught me that everything I’ve done and created can be destroyed by one mistake or error in judgment.” “A wrong step can avoid a fall,” I once read. This, I suppose, was my stumbling’ that saved me from falling. I guess I needed something like this to put my life together a little more.”
