Ngelale was born on November 12, 1978 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. He is of the Ogoni ethnic group. He attended the University of Port Harcourt, where he studied Mass Communication. After graduating, he worked as a journalist for several newspapers and magazines, including The Guardian, ThisDay and The News.

In 2007, Ngelale joined Channels Television, where he worked as a news anchor and reporter. He also produced the investigative documentary “Eagle Eye,” which exposed corruption in the Nigerian government.

In 2015, Ngelale was appointed Special Assistant to the President on Public Relations. He is responsible for advising the president on the media and coordinating the government’s communication strategy.

Ngelale is a recipient of the Wole Soyinka Award for Investigative Journalism. He is also a member of the Nigerian Guild of Editors and the International Association of Business Communicators.

Ngelale is married and has three children.
