Mukesh Tiwari is an Indian actor and comedian. He is famous for his films “Dilwale”, “Gangaajal” and “Yehi Hai Zindagi”.

Mukesh Tiwari was born on 24 August 1969 in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, India (53 years; as of 2023). He attended Lal School and Government School in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, India. Multipurpose Higher Secondary School, Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, India. Mukesh went to Dr Hari Singh Gul University in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, India to pursue his degree. He then enrolled in acting courses at the National Institute of Drama, New Delhi, India. Mukesh’s performance was outstanding and he was called one of the best actors in the university by his professor.
Tiwari excelled in cricket during his school days and even played U-12, U-15 and U-19 cricket for Uttar Pradesh. However, after watching the movie Chor Pe Mor, he decided to pursue an acting career.

Profession
Mukesh started his acting career in 1998 with the Bollywood film “China Gate”. His role as a local bandit ‘Jageera’ in the film earned him the Zee Cine Award for ‘Most Promising Newcomer’ (Male).
He subsequently acted in films like Hum Panchhi Ek Daal Ke, Refugee, Farz, Mitti, Pyaasa and Hawayien. In 2003, he played the role of Bachcha Yadav in the film Gangaajal. His performance in the film earned him recognition and fame.

In 2006, Tiwari played the comic character “Vasooli Bhai” in Rohit Shetty’s “Golmaal”. His performance in the film was so well received by the audience that he continued to play the role of Vasooli Bhai in the film’s sequel. He made his television debut in 2008 with the TV series “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah”.
Apart from Bollywood, he has also appeared in Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu films.
In 2019, he played the ghost of Sanjeev Sharma in SAB TV’s horror comedy Band Baja Bandh Darwaza.
