A man and woman were heard screaming “my boy” as they stood over the lifeless body after the 6am horror.

The boy’s aunt, Maryan Hadafow, said his mom repeatedly raised questions about the window out of fear that it was unsafe.

Speaking from the scene, she said: “He went into the kitchen and opened the window.

“His mother complained to Newham Council about that window.

“She sent five emails about them being opened and said they weren’t safe for her children, but no one did anything.”

Maryan added that her “lovely” Arsenal-obsessed nephew got up early to go to school a little early.

Another neighbor, Luka Tunjić, 65, said that the windows “scared” him when his child was small because they were “dangerous”.

He said: “I was very afraid of windows when my child was little.

“I always locked them because it can be dangerous. I live on the tenth floor.

– I am very sorry for my neighbors, it is a tragedy.

Neighbors at the high-rise were horrified by the tragedy, which happened in broad daylight, and flowers have since been laid at the scene.

One tribute read: “Family, you are in our thoughts. May you shine brightly in your hearts forever.

“Love from all of us.”

Father-of-two JJ Armstrong, 33, saw a distraught man circling the body shouting: “My boy, my boy, he’s dead”.

JJ, who lives on the 12th floor of the block, told The Sun: “I heard something outside.

“I looked down and saw a man standing over the child and kept shouting ‘my boy, my boy, my boy is dead’.

“He was distraught and walking in circles. It was horrible to see.

“I couldn’t go there because it was too awful.”

COMMUNITY ANXIOUS

A mum who lives in the block said the tenants were in “complete shock”.

She said: “We know the family. The parents are in the hospital, the other family members are in the apartment.

“Allegedly, the boy was early and then fell from the window.

“It was an accident, but nobody knows how it happened. People are looking for answers.”

Another neighbor said: “I spoke to the mother a few weeks ago and I saw her with her son in the elevator, he was wonderful.

– She barely spoke today.

Police did not arrest anyone after the incident.

Metohija Police said: “We were called at 5.58am on Thursday 16th May to reports of a child who had fallen from a height on New City Road, E13.

“Police officers, London Fire Brigade, London Ambulance Service and London Air Ambulance attended.

“At the scene, a five-year-old boy fell from the floor of a residential building.

“Despite the efforts of the emergency services, he unfortunately died at the scene of the accident. His family is aware and has support.
