The lawsuit is expected to be filed before the end of the year, but the legal filing did not provide further information. The women are also seeking unspecified damages for what they claim is sexual harassment, according to a Rolling Stones report.

According to representative Jimmy Lovine, the said claim “quite shocked and confused them”. This is the first time we are hearing about this problem. According to the spokeswoman, quoted by Reuters, “No one has ever filed a lawsuit like this against Jimmy Lovine, nor have we been contacted or notified of any complaint, including this unknown plaintiff.” Under the Adult Survivors Act, New York’s unique state law that allows women to sue their alleged abusers even after the statute of limitations has run, the woman is seeking specific damages for assault and battery.
