Wedding bells are ringing for Jax who tied the knot with her fiance Brave Gregg in a romantic Scottsdale wedding surrounded by 300 of their family and friends.
“We were best friends first, casual business partners in life and creative soul mates,” the musician and TikTok star, 27, told PEOPLE in an exclusive interview ahead of their wedding day.
Jax and Gregg worked with Elle A Events, Adam Kent Photography and Alaska Airlines to plan their special day. They kicked off the celebration Friday night in Scottsdale, AZ with a rehearsal dinner. The next day, their official ceremony began at 4 p.m. local time. Hilton Scottsdale Resorts & Villas has provided accommodations for all of its guests.
“We were toying with the idea of doing something very private, and then we decided that we’ve met so many amazing people in the last two years of our lives, that we wanted to celebrate with everyone, have fun and throw a big party for everyone,” says Gregg.

For the ceremony – which was officiated by Jax’s brother Matt, who is a retired US Marine veteran, the couple kept to the traditional vibe. Jax wore a white dress from the family company Everlasting Bridal.
“It’s such a perfect combination of both of our families combined into one dress,” she says.
“On my side of the family, we’re very East Coast, where weddings and parties are flashy, glitz and glam, Brooklyn and Jersey vibes,” she adds. “For his family, they’re very West Coast, Arizona, Los Angeles, so very vintage, more of a hippie vibe. It’s almost like all those things in one dress and it’s so simple and so beautiful.”
She continues: “I liked it because I’m definitely a man at heart, I haven’t worn a dress in a long time.” Gregg’s wedding day look was styled by Men’s Warehouse.
Jax walked down the aisle to a medley of some of her favorite romantic pop-punk songs. Her producer, Wayne Wilkins, also played the arrangement on a white piano as the bridal party made their way down the aisle.
At the altar, the couple exchanged traditional, handwritten vows. “I can finally walk down the aisle with my best friend, the love of my life, and spend the rest of my life with her,” says Gregg.

While the couple kept the ceremony more traditional, they decided to go in a different direction for the reception. Gregg says, “From the start we both wanted to have an emo themed reception, we’re both kids at heart and that led to the decision to go with an emo color and theme throughout the reception.”
“Think about an early to mid-2000s pop-punk theme,” says Jax, who changed into a black dress for the reception. “We’ll have our grandparents wearing guyliner pants. Some of our favorite bands coming up might jump on stage to perform.”
What they said they had to have during the reception were super wetsuits. “This is so we can spray anyone who tries to cause drama,” says Gregg.

For dinner, the newlyweds prepared dinner in seated plates. Braised ribs and Chilean sea bass were on the menu. At the reception, they offered a specialty Malibu rum with alcohol from Pernod Ricard. Dinner was followed by dessert — a black frosted, red velvet wedding cake. Later in the evening, the couple danced their first dance to “All I Wanted” by Paramore.
“We want traditional, spiritual and romantic for our families. And then off-the-wall fun for friends,” says Jax.
“Brave is first and foremost my best friend. He is Arizona warmth to my New York cold. Patience to my craziness. Calm to my storm,” she continues. “He definitely grounds me. We’re complete opposites and that’s how it works. He’s been my steadying force over the last few years with everything that’s been going on.”
At the end of the evening, the couple served the guests pizza from Pizzeria Venezia for a late snack.
Jax and Gregg first met at an industry party and music video shoot. Jax says she was in the video and Gregg was filming.
“We were there filming with our respective dates at the time,” Jax says. “Later we went to an old country bar for dinner and that’s how it started.”
On December 31, 2022, after performing at Rockin’ New Year’s Eve in Times Square, Gregg proposed to Jax.
“I told her she had an interview before the ball dropped, so I took her to this suite that I had set up with a thousand candles and rose petals everywhere,” he says. – I surprised her and asked her to marry me.
Now that they’re officially married, the couple can’t wait to plan an offline honeymoon when things are less hectic. One day they hope to have a joint family. “I love her intelligence. She makes me be a better person every day. Without her, I’d be a complete prisoner, addicted to video games,” says Gregg.
