Mine is the 86-inch Kova Sofa, which has hundreds of five-star ratings from fellow customers, in the lush rust velvet fabric pictured above. It’s among Albany Park’s soft models, which is exactly what I was looking for after 12 years with a rigid Ikea two-seater (I’m sure you know the one). It’s also a section, so I have the potential to increase it in the future.

I chose the Kova package with storage ottoman, as I was initially set on a sofa bed to stretch out on, but I currently don’t have the living room space for the internet famous Albany Park Kova Pit. You can get an ottoman without storage for a little less, but trust me, the ability to hide extra blankets and pillows in plain sight is totally worth it.

Even with that addition, my Albany Park sofa was still priced right for me. I saw plenty of couches at major online retailers that I could afford, but they looked cheap and uncomfortable, while couches like West Elm and Lovesac were more than I wanted to spend. After taking each piece out of the box, the Kova sectional sofa came together in just a few minutes, and it was easy to clean up dust and crumbs with the electric brush attachment on my cordless vacuum. The couch design doesn’t lend itself to side tables or a coffee table, so I use a $30 serving tray from Amazon to keep the remotes, morning coffee, and whatever else I need close at hand. Honestly, a couch tray is much more practical than that extra piece of furniture.

Five months later, my couch cushions, which the brand says are filled with a “cloud-soft microfiber blend,” still feel brand new; they only need regular rinsing to keep them that way. Plus, the couch is so deep that I practically disappear into it: I’m 5’4”, and when I put my feet up on the ottoman, there’s still enough room for another person or two to sit on it.
