After several years of training, in 2018, she participated in the 100-meter race at the 79th All India University Athletics Championships. She finished in 11.56 seconds, breaking the record of 11.60 seconds held by Zenia Ayrton of India. In an interview, she said of the incident,
I didn’t get off to a good start and I thought the race was going to slip out of my grasp. “
Subsequently, she participated in various national and international athletics competitions such as 62nd Kerala Senior Athletics Championships (2018), All India Inter-University Athletics Championships, Moodbidri (2018), 62nd Kerala Senior Athletics Championships Athletics Championships (2018) and National Open Championships (2021)). In 2022, she won a gold medal at the Indian Grand Prix in Thiruvananthapuram. In 2022, she qualified for the Birmingham Commonwealth Games and competed in the women’s 4 x 100m relay. NS Simi trains under the guidance of her coach Anoop.
