Strictly Come Dancing pro Nadiya Bychkova has broken her silence after missing out on a pair of celebrities for the first time since her debut in 2017.
Taking to Instagram after Saturday’s premiere, the mother-of-one, 34, decided to post a lengthy message in which she spoke of her disappointment.

“I’m sure you’ll understand that I’m disappointed not to be partnered with a celebrity on @bbc strictly for this series,” she wrote.
“It’s an amazing show to be a part of and I’m still so excited about all the group numbers, performing with some of our musicians and more.”
She finished by adding: “I’m also looking forward to supporting my fellow professionals and I want to wish all the couples the best of luck in the competition this year.”

Nadia’s fans were quick to send their support in the comments section. Her former celebrity partner Dan Walker was among the first to react, writing: “No one puts a Yorkshire waitress in a corner [dancer emoji] Keep shining partner,” while her beau Kai Widdrington gushed: “Always shine bright,” followed by a diamond emoji and a red heart.
“Absolutely heartbroken that you didn’t get a partner this year,” commented a third, while a fourth added: “Nadiya is not the same without your talent, beauty and graceful routines. I think many of us are shocked that you didn’t team up with a celebrity.”

The Caerphilly-born dancer went public with her cancer diagnosis back in May. In an exclusive interview for HELLO!star said: “I’ve been through a lot in my life and this is another hurdle.
“But if I’m positive and strong, I have a really good chance of getting back on the dance floor as soon as possible… Just don’t think it’s going to happen to you. I didn’t think it was possible to get breast cancer at my age. My mom had cancer breast, but she had it at a later age, in her 50s.”
