BBC Breakfast star Naga Munchetty has been praised by fans after she revealed she has been working hard on a new project away from the news show for the past eight months.
On Twitter, journalists encourage followers to join the new Overview episode, title Westminster’s Toxic Culturewhereby Naga investigates complaints of bullying and sexual harassment in parliament.
“For the past eight months, I have worked on an investigation into allegations in Westminster, listening to congressional staffers who say they have been sexually harassed or bullied,” she wrote on Monday. “Please see Westminster Toxic Culture, 8pm @BBCOne.”
The 30-minute program synopsis explains: “Reporter Naga Munchetty speaks to staffers and MPs who have denounced their sexual harassment and bullying. Exactly 5 years after the Decree institute set up a new system to deal with complaints, many of whom campaigned for Housecleaning lost faith in it, saying it was too slow and complicated.”
Fans were quick to commend Naga’s investigative reporting and presentation skills, with one person writing: “Good job @TVNaga01, and thank you!” while another added: “Good job Naga. Well done.”

While Naga regularly wakes up the nation with the latest headlines BBC Breakfastwhich she co-hosts with Charlie Stayt from Thursday to Saturday, she has been busy with projects other than the show in recent months.

Not only does he host his own BBC documentary series, Asking and Shameas well as the morning radio show on BBC Radio 5 Live, but she also appeared as a guest presenter in an episode I have news for youaired in June.
Naga joined the BBC in 2008, initially working on the BBC Two programme, work lunch, before moving on to BBC News, where she covers breaking news. In the end, she moved to BBC Breakfast as the main presenter in 2014, replacing Susanna Reid when she left Good Morning Britain.

Naga is new Overview The show takes place against the backdrop of some temporary changes to the list of presentations about BBC Breakfast.
Jon Kay, who often hosts the show with Sally Nugent Monday through Wednesday, went on vacation last week. In a statement on social media before his absence, the journalist explained that he will take two weeks off to spend time with his family.

“I’m enjoying the extra sleep and long-planned vacation with my family, so no need to set an alarm for tomorrow morning,” he wrote. “Back on the red sofa with my BBC Breakfast family in Salford in two weeks.”
Nina Warhurst is also on maternity leave and has just welcomed her third child with husband Ted.

The business leader last appeared on the show at the end of June and the birth of the baby was announced just weeks later. BBC Breakfast July 3rd.
