She is known for hosting the investigative news show ‘Aankhon Dekhi’ on the DD Metro channel (now known as DD News). She hosted the show from 1990 to 2002. Nalini is the Managing Director of TV Live India Pvt Ltd. She is also the Editor-in-Chief of the news channel Nepal-1.

Nalini Singh has been in controversy for behaving inappropriately towards Anjana Rawal, a journalist from Nepal-1 News Channel. Nalini called Rawal a “bitch” and asked Rawal to “eat” her shoes, which angered Anjana, who slapped Nalini and filed a defamation case against her.
