NASCAR Star Bobby East Was Stabbed To Death By A Homeless Man

On Wednesday, July 13, 2022, a homeless man stabbed the famous runner Bobby East to death at a California gas station. The NASCAR legend was reportedly stabbed in the chest while filling up his tank. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he died of his injuries. The police did not arrest anyone. The 37-year-old runner was allegedly attacked by a heavily tattooed homeless man identified by authorities as Trent William Millsap. Millsap, 27, apparently planned to stab another guy at the 76 gas station. Police described him as a known vagrant with a warrant. Alerts were issued in relation to the fugitive, who was believed to be armed and therefore dangerous.

“The victim was found on the ground with a large stab wound to the chest. Officers attempted to save the victim’s life until OCFA paramedics arrived and took him to a nearby trauma facility, where he died from his injuries.”

Days after the murder, police were still searching for the alleged killer. Additionally, ongoing investigations are trying to determine if East and Millsap knew each other or if the fatal attack was random.
