Nathan Wade was born in Texas in 1973 and graduated from Texas State University with a BA in Political Science. After graduation he moved to Atlanta to attend John Marshall Law School and earned his Juris Doctor degree in 1999.
He then began his legal career as a prosecutor in the Fulton County District Attorney’s office, where he devoted 16 years of his life dedicatedly handling high-profile cases, including the Atlanta Public Schools cheating scandal. He was the main prosecutor in the cheating scandal, and in 2015 he issued verdicts for 11 educators for racketeering.
Nathan Wade served as the first black male judge in Marietta, Georgia. He was then appointed to the city’s municipal court in 2011 and ran three times for Cobb County Superior Court. However, he never won and then left the district attorney’s office in 2018 to start a private law firm, Wade & Campbell. He was an associate judge of the Cobb County Municipal Court.
