NEET Exam Date 2023– The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is the most important medical entrance exam in India. It is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to MBBS, BDS, and AYUSH courses in various medical colleges across the country.

NEET 2023 is scheduled to be held today, May 7, 2023, in pen and paper mode. More than 20 lakh candidates have registered for the exam and are expected to appear at their allotted exam centres.

NEET Exam Date 2023

The NTA has announced the NEET exam date 2023 on its official website. The exam will be conducted on May 7, 2023 (Sunday) from 2:00 PM to 5:20 PM. The duration of the exam is three hours and twenty minutes.

Candidates have to report at their exam centres at least two hours before the commencement of the exam. The entry to the exam hall will start from 12:00 PM and close at 1:30 PM. No candidate will be allowed to enter the exam hall after 1:30 PM.

NEET Admit Card 2023

The NTA released the NEET admit card 2023 on May 3, 2023 on its official website. Candidates can download their admit card by entering their application number and date of birth. The admit card contains important details such as the candidate’s name, roll number, exam date, time, centre, photograph, signature, and instructions.

Candidates have to carry a printed copy of their admit card along with a valid photo ID proof (such as Aadhaar card, PAN card, passport, etc.) and a passport-size photograph (same as uploaded in the application form) to the exam centre. Candidates have to affix their photograph on the attendance sheet and sign it in front of the invigilator.

NEET Exam Pattern 2023

The NEET exam pattern 2023 is as follows:

  • The exam will consist of one paper containing 200 multiple-choice questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology).
  • The questions will be based on the syllabus prescribed by the NTA for NEET 2023.
  • The questions will be asked in English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu languages.
  • The candidates have to mark their responses on an OMR sheet using a black ballpoint pen.
  • The candidates have to attempt any 180 questions out of a total of 200 questions. They can choose any section or combination of sections to attempt.
  • Each question will carry four marks and one mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. No mark will be deducted for unattempted questions.
  • The total marks of the exam will be 720.

NEET Dress Code 2023

The NTA has prescribed a dress code for NEET 2023 to ensure fair and smooth conduct of the exam. The dress code is as follows:

  • Candidates have to wear light-colored clothes with half sleeves. They should not wear clothes with big buttons, brooches, or badges.
  • Candidates have to wear slippers or sandals with low heels. They should not wear shoes or boots.
  • Candidates have to avoid wearing any kind of jewelry or ornaments such as earrings, rings, nose pins, chains, etc.
  • Candidates have to avoid wearing any kind of accessories such as watches, bracelets, belts, caps, scarves, etc.
  • Candidates have to avoid wearing any kind of electronic devices such as mobile phones, earphones, calculators, cameras, etc.
  • Candidates have to avoid carrying any kind of stationery items such as pencils, erasers, sharpeners, papers, books, etc.
  • Candidates have to follow the instructions given by the invigilators and frisking staff at the exam centre. They have to cooperate with them for verification and security purposes.
