NEET PG 2023 Cutoff in favor of medical students, FORDA calls for relaxation

NEET PG 2023 Cut-Off Reduction

NEET PG 2023 Cut-Off: Federation of Resident Doctors Associations (FORDA) has written a letter to Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya urging them to lower the NEET PG 2023 cut-off marks. The doctors’ association claims that by reducing the NEET PG 2023 cutoff percentile, many medical students who are currently in a situation of change due to these uncertainties will get a lifeline.

FORDA’s letter reads, “Over the past years, we have witnessed a constant challenge in the form of vacancies in medical institutions across the country, even after multiple rounds of NEET PG counselling. This is a matter of great concern, not only for the health care system, but also for ambitious medical professionals who are eager to contribute to the health infrastructure of our country,” said the FORDA letter.

To avoid wastage of seats, FORDA has requested that the cut-off score for NEET PG 2023 exam be reduced.

“By reducing the cap, we can ensure that more qualified candidates are given the opportunity to fill vacancies, thereby preventing the waste of valuable resources and infrastructure,” the letter added.

Medical associations call for reduction of NEET PG 2023 cutoff to fill seats

To fill the seats, the United Doctors’ Front Association (UDFA) and the Indian Medical Association have also called for a reduction in the NEET PG 2023 cutoff percentile. The Delhi Medical Association agreed to this request.

“Thousands of MBBS passers who appeared in NEET PG 2023, want to join postgraduate courses. As per the current counseling eligibility criteria, due to non-reduction of the counseling eligibility cut-off marks, currently a large number of PG seats are vacant. ”

“If the NBE does not revise the reduction of the qualifying cut-off percentile for participation in the ongoing counselling, the vacancy will be the same which will be UNJUSTICE for the prospective candidates for admission to postgraduate courses,” the UDFA’s letter said.
