The NMC is asking medical colleges to submit postgraduate admissions details by October 28

NEET PG 2023: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has asked all medical institutes and colleges to submit details of candidates admitted to postgraduate courses during the academic session 2023-24. The official website for filling of candidate details by Post Graduate Medical Institutes and Colleges will remain open till 28 October 2023.

The committee also stated that the medical colleges must ensure that the PG medical admissions are done in terms of parameters including National Postgraduate Entrance Test (NEET PG), sanctioned seat capacity, candidate selection process, cut-off date and stipend payment.

What information must be submitted regarding PG students?

PG health institutions are obliged to submit the following information about students admitted in the academic year 2023/24:

  • Name of the course/programme
  • Date of receipt
  • Allowed input capacity
  • Candidate category
  • Sex
  • National Post Graduate Entrance Examination (NEET PG) Percentile, All India Rank (AIR), State Rank
  • Candidate’s name with identification number and which state medical council
  • Scholarship details
  • The name of the teacher of the postgraduate study with whom the student is enrolled

The NMC has also provided a help desk in case the PG medical colleges face any difficulty in accessing the NMC website. An email can be sent to [email protected] and the commission office will return within two working days to resolve the query or issue.

NEET PG 2023 Admission

The deadline for enrolling in a postgraduate program of broad specialization is today, October 25, 2023. While the link for entering student information will be available until October 28. The commission further directed the Directorate of Medical Education (DoME) of each state /UT to also submit information about admissions in their state/UT within two weeks after the last day of admission.
