She began her career with East-West Airlines in 1995, which was closed in 1996. She started her career as an international cabin crew member with Singapore Airlines in Singapore in March 2000, where she worked for nearly six years. She joined Kingfisher Airlines in Mumbai as Inflight Director in August 2006 and has been with Kingfisher Airlines for over eight years. Then Kingfisher Airlines collapsed and she was unemployed for nearly two years. In an interview, she said of the incident,
I was unemployed for two years. My behavior changed. This period was also difficult for my family due to irritability, confusion and depression. Now I have found a job in a “real estate” company. Like the average person, I also have a 9am to 5pm schedule. I am lucky because many of my colleagues who work as pilots and ground staff at Kingfisher have not found another job yet.

She further added,
But I don’t often feel like this when I get up in the morning and go to work. I remember in the morning we used to check everything on the plane, meet new people, and when something went wrong we used to come up with new ways to deal with it. The most beautiful sights in the world are when our planes take off in the early morning and the sun rises through the clouds, or when lightning flashes through the cockpit windows during a storm. I used to tell people that if a person stays in this industry for more than five years, it’s like “jet fuel” starts flowing in the veins instead of in the blood. My dream was shattered. I could never do what I was born to do. This experience suddenly made me understand the world. “

She then worked as a Client Relations Executive at Radius Developers, Mumbai from December 2014 to June 2019. Neetu subsequently joined NucleusOffice Parks, Mumbai in June 2019 as a Senior Manager.
