Neha was born on June 6, 1988 in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, India (35 years; age as of 2023) and grew up in Delhi, India. She has sung songs in two different languages including Hindi and Punjabi. She has sung the national anthem in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) with Daler Mehndi and members of the Indian Ocean band Rahul Ram. Neha also competed in the second season of the Indian reality show Indian Idol. Apparently, she also appeared on the judging panel for the tenth season of the same reality show.

Neha Kakkar studied at New Holy Public School in Delhi. She started singing at the age of four. In 2006, she participated in the second season of the popular singing reality show Indian Idol and made it to the top ten. In 2008, she released her first album Neha – The Rock Star, which featured her songs by the Meet Brothers.
In 2009, she made her Bollywood debut with the theme song of the movie “Blue”.
