She has participated in various national and international championships. In March 2022, Neha made her international debut at the Abu Dhabi Championships and won a bronze medal in sailing, which helped her qualify for the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games. In 2023, Neha Thakur represented India at the 19th Asian Games (2022) in Hangzhou, China, where she won the silver medal in the women’s dinghy ILCA 4 sailing event with a net score of 27 points from 11 races. In the 11th race, she sailed a 4.23m long boat weighing 65kg alone and finished fourth.
