A New Yorker won a $10 million lottery prize for the second year in a row!
Wayne Murray of Brooklyn recently won $10 million in a 200X scratch-off game, according to New York Lottery officials.
Murray’s December win follows his victory in August 2022, when he won his first $10 million scratch-off prize in the Black Titanium game. He bought both winning tickets at the H&A Gas & Convenience store located at 4102 Ave. H in Brooklyn, according to New York Lottery officials.
After both wins, the lucky winner decided to take his winnings in a one-time payment of $6,122,400, after the necessary withholdings.

Hassan Nabil, a clerk at the store where Murray won the two tickets, said New York Post that Murray is a regular guest in his shop.
“He is very friendly with the locals and very generous with his time. “He could have moved out of the neighborhood after the first victory, but he stood his ground,” said Nabil. “Money changes a lot of people, but it doesn’t show off or anything like that. Keep it real, keep it honest.”
“Twice in a row — what are the odds? You mustn’t even think about it. It is not understandable,” continued Nabil. “It’s a game to him, so he just keeps playing.”
The odds of winning the 200X scratch-off game are 1 in 3.64 million, while the odds of winning the Black Titanium game are 1 in 3.53 million, according to the New York Lottery.
