Randy Moss shared a cryptic message about his health.
On Sunday, Dec. 1, the former New England Patriots star and current ESPN analyst, 47, took to Instagram and later Sunday’s NFL Countdown about the “struggle with something internal”.
“During the entire holiday week, your boy was struggling with something inside,” Moss revealed. “I’m just asking all the prayer warriors to put your hands of blessing on me and my family through these difficult times.”

“I have a great team of doctors and I have a great family around me,” he continued, before encouraging viewers to take care of themselves. “You all get your exams done, get your blood work done, and we’ll take care of it.”
Moss made headlines last week for wearing sunglasses during a pre-game telecast of a sports game. The former athlete now says he wears sunglasses because of health concerns.
“Okay, if you see me with my Michigan glasses, you know what I’m up against,” he said. “God bless you all. Thanks for your prayers.”
Moss quickly shared a follow-up video saying, “There are going to be people who are worried and they’re going to ask questions. At this point, I’m just going to keep a lot of things private. Just be patient. But like I said, I need your prayers.”
Moss had the support of his colleagues from the sports show during the filming of the video.
The Hall of Famer later spoke during the broadcast, according to a clip of the moment on social media. “I just want to let the viewers know that me and my wife, me and my family, are struggling with something inside. I have great doctors around me,” he said. “I couldn’t miss the performance. I wanted to be here with you.”
Moss said he felt “great,” but further clarified, “If you all see me with these Michigan glasses on, it’s not a disparagement because I’m on television. Man, I’m struggling with something. I need all the prayer warriors.”

Earlier this year, Moss took over for Peyton Manning as host of the Netflix series Receiverwhich is co-produced by Manning’s Ohama Productions and is a sequel to his series Back.
“This year we changed it up. Instead of giving running backs even more love, we followed the league’s top five pass catchers through the 2023 season,” Moss said in the series opener.
