Currently, she is poised to declare that she is seeking the 2024 Republican presidential nomination. With a campaign kick-off arrangement for 15 February 2023 in Charleston, South Carolina, the 51-year-old Nikki would become the 2nd major Republican candidate for the presidency, after Donald Trump launched his bid in November.

The former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley recently took to Twitter to announce a ‘special announcement’ on 15 February 2023, prompting buzz about a 2024 Presidential run.
Ms. Haley would be the 3rd Indian-American to seek a presidential nomination. Nikki follows Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, whose bid in 2015 never obtained significant traction, and current Vice-President Kamala Harris, who sought the 2020 nomination.
