Lee Murray (52), Richie Wermerling (54) and Rob Jeffrey founded the group in 1993.

They released two albums – Let Loose and Rollercoaster – before breaking up in 1996.

Lee and Richie reunited in 2008 to write another song and then also took part in the Another Time, Another Place arena tour which featured popular artists from the 1990s and 2000s.

Richie was the lead vocalist, Jeffrey was the band’s guitarist and backing singer, while Lee was on drums.

Now fellow Nineties singer and heartthrob Matthew James Pateman of Bad Boys Inc will replace Richie as lead vocalist.

Thirty years after he shot to fame, Lee told Metro: “We’re so excited to be back with Let Loose.

“It’s something our fans have been asking us for years and we’re very happy that everything has fallen into place with Matthew now being our lead singer, because he’s so brilliant.”

Matthew added: “I’ve always admired Let Loose and their music. They’ve always been lumped into the ‘boy band’ category in the industry – but they’re more than that.

“They are great musicians and Let Loose’s songcraft has really stood the test of time.”

Pop band Bad Boys Inc had six top 40 hits and a best-selling album.

They flew first class around the world, toured with Take That and Boyzone and performed in the first ever National Lottery show.

The group’s first two singles, Let Loose, Crazy For You and The Way I Wanna Be, were released in 1993, peaking at No. 44 and No. 82.

It was when they re-released Crazy For You in 1994 that it crashed the UK charts, peaking at number two.

The band managed a total of seven UK top 40 songs.
