Nisha Rawal first met actor Karan Mehra on the sets of the Bollywood film Hastey Hastey (2008). The two quickly fell in love and started dating.

In 2021, there were rumours that their marriage was having problems. However, the two initially denied the claims. Later, things turned sour and Nisha filed a police complaint against Karan, alleging that he pushed her against a wall causing head injury. She even accused Karan of having an extramarital affair. Following her complaint, Karan was arrested by the Goregaon police. He was later released on bail. The couple is reportedly going through divorce proceedings in the family court.

In 2021, Nisha accused her husband Karan Mehra of pushing her against a wall, causing head injuries, after an argument between the two. Nisha filed a case against Karan at the Goregaon police station, following which he was arrested by the police. Later, he was released on bail. Karan, however, denied the allegations and claimed that it was Nisha who entered his room and started shouting and spitting at him. He said the violent argument was over his refusal to pay the “huge” alimony demanded by his wife. He also said that he did not cause physical harm to Nisha, but she banged her head against the wall herself and threatened to ruin his image.
