Noel and Liam Gallagher bidding to lure Beatles legend’s son to join Oasis reunion as rest of line-up is confirmed

FORMER Oasis bassist Andy Bell is back for a band reunion, The Sun can reveal.

He will join guitarists Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs and Gem Archer along with Noel and Liam Gallagher when the comeback shows begin next July.

Insiders close to the band said three musicians were confirmed for the 19-date gig, while they also wanted Ringo Starr’s son Zak Starkey back on drums.

A source said: “Noel and Liam are slowly getting Oasis back together and are hoping to get Zak on drums. Andy has confirmed that he is now free to tour, and Bonehead and Gem have also signed up.

“Alan White, who was Oasis’ drummer until 2004, is not coming back. Zak was probably the best live drummer Oasis have ever had and it would be amazing to have him back on board.”

Oasis has had several line-up changes over the years. Bonehead was a founding member, but left in 1999 along with bassist Paul McGuigan, to be replaced by Gem and Andy.

Original drummer Tony McCarroll left in 1995 and Alan White took over until 2004. Zak then joined five years later and played until 2008, when Chris Sharrock took over before the band broke up in 2009.

Last week, The Sun revealed that Oasis had added two more dates at Wembley Stadium, amid backlash over ticketing policies.

The Competition and Markets Authority has launched an investigation into the dynamic pricing policy of the seller Ticketmaster.

Many fans were angry when they saw the price jump while waiting in line.

Yesterday, those who failed to get tickets during the first sale were told whether or not they were eligible to vote for two additional Wembley dates on September 27 and 28.

A statement said: “Once you have successfully registered, you will be entered into the ballot for a code to access the latest Wembley on-sale dates.

“Due to demand for shows and to avoid last week’s long queues, codes will be strictly limited.

“Entering the ballot does not guarantee you will receive a code.”

They added: “If you do not receive the email, unfortunately you will not be eligible to vote.”

Those close to the band told The Sun that Noel, 57, and Liam, 51, had put on extra tickets for their fans because they were overwhelmed by the huge response to their reunion.

The source added: “If Noel and Liam can add more shows to their UK act, they will.

“It’s a logistically huge task and their teams are working hard to try and see if they can make it happen.”

The brothers are also expected to announce US dates in the coming weeks. The UK tour kicks off in Cardiff on July 4th, followed by gigs in Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin.
