NTA fans spot awkward moment Holly Willoughby jumps in front of Alison Hammond to hug Jay Blades after This Morning loss

HOLLY Willoughby has been accused of jumping in front of Alison Hammond in an awkward moment at the NTAs after This Morning missed out on the daily gong.

The series was defeated in this category for the first time in 12 years after stiff competition from Loose Women, The Chase and The Repair Shop.

The BBC’s Workshop program scooped the coveted gong at The 02 in London, with presenter Jay Blades leading the winners’ speech on Tuesday night.

The graceful star then ran into the crowd towards the This Morning hosts in a touching moment.

Holly – who was caught up in a queue-jumping scandal last year – stood up with arms outstretched to hug Jay before he leaned towards Alison and hugged her in her seat.

Reacting on X, formerly known as Twitter, one viewer said: “#NTAs workshop went to hug Alison but Holly had to jump in first. She always skips the line.”

Another said: “Go to the repair shop well deserved. So humble and you didn’t have to jump the queue or argue.”

Another said: “Repair shop. Healthy television. Honest television. A well-deserved win.”

Another wrote: “Holly looks like she’s about to burst into tears when the repair shop wins an award.”

Jay praised his fellow nominees as he accepted the award for Repair Shop.

He said on stage: “We’re the new kids on the block and I’m glad we won this time.

“I know it won’t be a regular thing, so thanks.”

Last year, Holly and Phillip Schofield addressed allegations that they jumped the queue to see the Queen’s coronation on Friday on This Morning.

The public was left furious as the TV presenters appeared to have skipped the long queue, after some of them waited up to 2pm.
