- In February 2021, Indian television actress and model Urfi Javed accused him of sexually harassing girls for providing them with modeling assignments. She accused him of not paying her for work and asking the girls to compromise with him or the music video producers. She posted a series of stories on Instagram in which she mentioned she had evidence that Obaid was a sexual predator. She said after posting the stories, five women texted her about similar things to him. One of them mentioned that Obaid told her that he would only let her play the lead role with her favorite singer if she was ready to compromise with the producers. When she declined the offer, he put her on a video call with producers without showing up. Several celebrities, including Priyank Sharma, Arushi Handa and Nikita Bhamidipati, have posted stories in support of Urfi and written about similar incidents they had with him.

In response, Obaid posted a message saying that all those who oppose him are jealous of him. A similar incident occurred in 2017 when a girl commented on Obaid’s Facebook post claiming that he exploited girls.
