Ollie Palmer Reveals His 2 Favorite Deadpool & Wolverine Surprise Cameos and Picks Who Has the Best Hair (Exclusive)

Wrexham Football Club player Ollie Palmer — one of many people who have made surprising appearances Deadpool & Wolverine — decided which of the title characters has the best hair in the latest Marvel blockbuster.

“I have to say, Wolverine has a wild style, I love it,” the 32-year-old athlete, whose recent partnership with men’s hair brand American Crew lends more weight to his take on the hairstyle, tells PEOPLE exclusively.

Although Palmer chose Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine over Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool, the striker still has huge respect for Reynolds, who co-owns his Wrexham FC with fellow actor Rob McElhenney.

As co-writer and co-producer of the film, Reynolds, 47, and director Shawn Levy peppered Deadpool & Wolverine with cameos. These surprise appearances included Palmer and his co-star Paul Mullin as Welshpool, as well as stars from past superhero projects such as Wesley Snipes as Blade, Chris Evans as Johnny Storm, Jennifer Garner as Elektra, Channing Tatum as Gambit and Henry Cavill as a variant of Wolverine .

Despite his A-list cameos, Palmer singled out two other cameos as his favorites: Blake Lively, 36, as Lady Deadpool and their daughter Inez, 7, as Kidpool.

“It’s so sweet that Ryan included his wife and kids in the film — it shows his greatness as a family man and creator,” Palmer explains.

“Ryan invited me to spend a few days in the recording studio while he was filming Deadpool & WolverinePalmer says. “It was great to see the roles reversed where he was the talent and I was the rookie. He ended up inviting me on set from there, and Ryan and Hugh were a lot of fun to spend the day with. A completely unique experience.”

Palmer is also employed as the owner of luxury streetwear brand WXM Clothing.

“It’s gone incredibly well and it’s something I’ve enjoyed every step of the way,” he says of his clothing brand. “I learned a lot doing it too. It is rapidly being built around the world.”

While juggling business ownership and spending time with his family, Palmer is also playing in his third season for Wrexham — in style, using American Crew matte clay and beard serum.

“Look good, feel good, play good,” Palmer emphasizes to PEOPLE, before adding that these products elevate his style on and off the court. “Not only does it last through all my games, but it lasts all night and looks pretty much the same when I wake up the next morning.”
