Omar Salim, a former representative of Médi 1 and former director of information and programming for the 2M channel, was taken in critical condition on Tuesday, July 11 and taken to a private hospital in Casablanca.

Omar Salim was put “under artificial respiration” following “cardiac shock requiring admission to intensive care,” according to his son Karim Benamar, who is also a journalist. He tragically died on Monday.

Omar Salim was admitted to the hospital for the second time in two years in 2021 as a result of an intestinal infection that had severely harmed his nervous system.
