One Last Thing with Eva Longoria: 'I Danced All Night' at Victoria Beckham's 50th Birthday Party, 'I Was Sore' (Exclusive)

Eva Longoria knows how to play it safe – especially when it’s in honor of a longtime friend.

The actress told PEOPLE in this week’s issue that the last time she danced was at Victoria Beckham’s 50th birthday party, a star-studded night in London on April 20.

“I danced all night and the next day I was sore,” she says. “I thought, ‘Oh my God’.”

Longoria says she put on her dancing shoes to play with the “Spice Girls, of course,” and was thrilled when the group — Beckham, Melanie “Mel B” Brown, Melanie “Mel C” Chisholm, Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell-Horner — together they sang their song “Mama” from 1996.

“Everyone got up and sang their songs,” explains Longoria, who is godmother to Beckham’s daughter Harper (12), whom the designer shares with husband David Beckham.

Longoria, who stars in and executive produces the Apple TV+ drama The land of womentalked to PEOPLE about one last thing:

The last perfect day off

I’m in San Sebastián, Spain, filming [CNN’s] In search of Spainand yesterday I spent the whole day with my son [Santiago, 6]. I think we walked for six hours, and we went to a candy store. It was like Willy Wonka. Well, a high heel, but it was chocolate.

I cried for the last time

The other night I was lying with my son, and we were watching Coco, and I rolled my eyes. He said, “Mom, are you okay?” But in the end I couldn’t stop crying. I was an absolute mess.

The last thing I took from the set

On Flamin’ Hot I grabbed a bag of vintage Cheetos. We had to make them for the film, and we needed about 3,000 bags. I saved about four or five, and they are on display in my office.

The last obsession

Paddle tennis. My husband [José Bastón] grew up playing it. I’m not good, but I’m very competitive.

The land of women arrives streaming on Apple TV+ on June 26.
