Optical illusion revealed after landslide uncovers very surprising details – but what do you see?

NATURE lovers were stunned after seeing a real-life optical illusion gushing out of a cliff, but what do you see?

A couple noticed strange looking rocks sticking out of the side of a cliff at Bedruthan Steps, Cornwall.

Bedruthan Steps, just a few miles north of Mawgan Porth, started to become dangerous in December 2019, when a huge rock slide destabilized the cliff.

Cordons have been set up in the area warning people not to approach some parts of the coastal path due to erosion.

Louise Coe and her husband used to walk the cliffs regularly, but did not return for a year due to landslides.

They saw a face emerging from the rocks and described it as a “brilliant sight” that she had not expected.

She said: “We have been there many times but we never noticed. It’s quite different, it looks like it was formed by a recent landslide, but it looks man-made.

“Obviously it can’t be, but we haven’t heard anything about where it is.

“We have lived here for many years and we are members of the National Foundation, so we go there quite often.”

While the couple saw the face, there are four illusions hidden in the rock, which one do you see?

ROMAN SOLDIER

Louise and her husband saw a human face in the rock, but the collapsing landslide also created the appearance of a Roman soldier.

The figure even seemed to be wearing a galea, a battle helmet, as he looked to the left of the partially destroyed cliff.

The side profile of the face can be clearly seen and is protected by the helmet’s iconic side fins.

Animal lovers have also noticed a rather sad looking lion carved out of the rock, with a man surrounding the illusion.

Two eyes can be seen looking out at those passing the Cornish cliffs, as well as a nose and a snout.

The locals who see the image of the beast may be surprised to see the king of the jungle looking at them.

On the other hand, another angle shows another profile of a lion, with the animal smiling at the bathers.

Planet of the Apes fans saw an illusion that looked like it might have something straight from the set of the cult movie.

Monkey lovers saw the face of a monkey in the crumbling rock, with some carved facial features.

You can also see the nose and mouth, as well as the full profile of the marsupial’s face from the cliff.

Some have compared it to the planet from the movie The Apes.

The outline of the dog could be clearly seen on the sides of the Cornish cliffs.

The ears and even the nose could be easily distinguished from the natural illusion.
