Career
Ousmane Cisse started playing basketball professionally in 2001 and retired in 2010. He started his professional basketball career after being selected by the Denver Nuggets in the 2001 NBA draft. Due to injuries, he was soon released from the team and joined the Harlem Globetrotters. He returned to the NBA and played for the Orlando Magic for one game before being fired. He then signed with the Toronto Raptors, but was released before he could play a single game.
He joined the NBDL’s Fayetteville Patriots and played for them during the 2004-05 season. Cisse moved to Israel’s Bnei Hasharon and played for them for four seasons. During the 2007–08 season, he helped his team finish third in the Israeli league. Cisse joined APOEL Nicosia in 2009 but soon left to join Etendard de Brest in 2010. He later retired from professional basketball in 2010. He represented his country at the 2005 FIBA African Championship.
