Taking to Instagram on Thursday, the actor revealed that in episodes two and three of the finale – which saw Jamie and Claire’s house turn to ashes – the crew actually set fire to the set. , letting real-life firefighters manage the fire.

Sharing a video from production, Sam captioned: “The big house is on fire… Jamie and Claire were useless to put out the fire but luckily there was help.”
Immediately after the announcement, the star received countless comments from fans, who left their emotions at the destruction of the set. “It was hard to watch it burn. Still, it was a great scene! Thanks for sharing this behind-the-scenes shot. Glad you had so much fun filming these scenes as well,” one person replied.

In the second episode of the seventh series, Jamie and Claire are distraught after Wendigo Donner destroys the family home they’ve worked so hard to build.

However, after the events of season seven, Jamie and Claire seem to be alive and well (for the moment, at least).

It’s not surprising that fans have such an emotional reaction to the burning of the Fraser’s Ridge set, especially as the show draws to a close.
Back in January, it was confirmed that the drama about that period would end after the eighth and final season, which consists of 10 episodes. As of June, the final series is still in pre-production.
