Pamela Anderson Goes Makeup-Free for Glamour Magazine's Women of the Year Cover: See the Photos

Pamela Anderson’s no-makeup philosophy just keeps getting stronger.

Presented as one of GlamourWorld Woman of the Year on Monday, September 30, the 57-year-old actress and activist appears on a special digital cover with minimal makeup and hair. Tennis legend Serena Williams was named as the other winner and graces her own cover.

In the photos, Anderson wears a range of chic, neutral ensembles including a khaki raincoat and a tailored Prada suit, all adorned with Pandora gems. Her makeup appears to be non-existent except for a smear of red lipstick.

“I just did it and I was playing with it,” the Baywatch alum talks Glamour about her decision to cut back on her beauty routine. “I don’t mind wearing makeup, but I felt it looked better in my 20s than it does now.”

She continues, “You’re going to hit a crossroads in your 50s and you’re like, ‘Am I going to chase youth? Will I be miserable? Or will I be self-accepting? And that is practice. And it’s hard to say you’re trying all that if you’re still doing red carpet and magazine cover makeup.”

After years of playing the “character” of her Hollywood sex symbol, Anderson decided to embrace a more natural look. She debuted the new style — breaking the internet in the process — during Paris Fashion Week in September 2023.

“I don’t know, something just came over me and I put on this beautiful outfit and I thought, ‘I don’t want to compete with clothes,'” Anderson said in a video for Vogue France. “I’m not trying to be the prettiest girl in the room. I feel like it’s just a freedom. It’s a release.”

“I don’t need a stylist. I don’t have a stylist,” she added. “I don’t have a glam squad. I just do this, freestyle.”

The star, who launched her vegan skincare line Sonsie in 2023, has since gone makeup-free on numerous occasions. She dressed up a bit for her Met Gala debut in May, but still kept her look simple and bright thanks to legendary makeup artist Pat McGrath.

For the glamorous event, Anderson wore a stunning Oscar de la Renta gown with a pleated bodice and dramatic train, a Noel Stewart faux leather headpiece and Pandora jewelry.
