After graduation, he began working as a business management professional in a private company and became interested in film production in 1990. Apart from producing films, he also works as a financier and distributor in the Indian entertainment industry. He was subsequently appointed as the Managing Director of K Sera Sera, an Indian film production company. Some of his Hindi films as a producer include Darna Mana Hai (2003), Ab Tak Chhappan 1 & 2 (2004 & 2015), Vaastu Shastra (2004) and Golmaal-Fun Unlimited (2006). In 2011, Parag founded his own film production company Alumbra Entertainment & Lotus Film Pvt. Ltd., under which he released Sarkar (2005), 26/11 Attacks (2013), Sarkar 3″ (2017) and “Chef” (2017).
In 2016, he acquired the franchise rights for the Playboy Club (nightclub). He was the first to introduce the Playboy Club franchise to India. In 2017, his business partner Sachiin Joshi (Indian actor, producer and entrepreneur) took full control of the Playboy franchise. On August 26, 2019, he launched a luxury lounge called ‘B’ in Mumbai.

In January 2021, Parag filed an FIR against his business partner Sachiin Jagdishprasad Joshi. He accused Sachiin of misappropriating Rs. A loss of Rs 58 crore was incurred due to non-payment of royalties for the Playboy Beer Garden franchise to Parag. According to local police,
Sanghvi has signed a contract with Joshi and his partners in Viiking Media And Entertainment Private Limited. Under the contract, Josh was supposed to pay concession fees for the Playboy Beer Garden in Barna and Koregaon Park. However, Joshi has not paid Sanghvi since 2016. Sanghvi later lodged a complaint with Pune police in this regard. His complaint is being investigated primarily by the Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) of the Pune police crime branch. Following these investigations, an FIR was registered against Joshi. Assistant Police Inspector HM Nanaware is investigating the case. “

In 2013, I purchased three commercial properties on Bandra Turner Road from a real estate company for Rs. 1374 Crores. One of them is leased to Alumbra Entertainment, of which Sanghavi is a director, and the other two are leased to another company. He sold his rental apartment to another person. “

A case was opened based on the respective sections of the complaint of fraud, forgery and criminal conspiracy. He was also charged with several other crimes. “

- In 2010, Parag and his wife Bunny were duped by Parmeet Arora (a former banker) out of approximately Rs 100 cr. 6000000. Arora used to attend celebrity gatherings and gain their trust by befriending them. According to local police,
During her (Parmeet’s) interrogation, we obtained details of two of her bank accounts. She had only Rs 52 in one bank account and Rs 1,500 in another. Arora claimed that she gave the money to her ex-husband Vikam Singh to win back his affection. Singh and Arora divorced in 2009 and Singh now lives with his family in Aurangabad. Arora claimed she gave the money to Singh because she wanted him back in her life. We have contacted Singh’s family in Aurangabad but they refuted her claims. “

Nonetheless, we contacted Vikram Singh and asked him to come to Mumbai to help us in our investigation. He will arrive in Mumbai tomorrow and we will also record his remarks. Amboli police arrested Parmeet Arora alias Sonia on Thursday. The alleged scam was exposed when the Sanghvi family’s chartered accountant stumbled upon discrepancies in their books. Arora has been remanded in police custody till October 27. “
