Paras Bhushan Kalnawat is an Indian television actor and model. He is known for his role as “Prince Sanjay” in the television series Meri Durga (2017).

Paras Kalnawat was born on Saturday, November 9, 1996 (25 years old in 2021) in Bhandara, Maharashtra. His star sign is Scorpio. He is in class 12 at a school in Nagpur. Kalnawat wanted to be an actor since his childhood. During his school days, he often participated in drama performances. After completing his studies, Paras moved to Mumbai to pursue an acting career. He obtained a B.Com correspondence degree from SK Somaiya College of Arts, Science and Commerce in Mumbai. At the same time, he started learning dance from popular choreographer Terence Lewis. Then, Paras joined Barry John’s acting class to learn acting.

In July 2022, Paras Kalnawat signed the celebrity dance reality show “Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 10” on a rival channel without permission, following which his contract with the makers of “Anupamaa” was terminated. The show’s producer Rajan Shahi said in a statement,
As a production company, we will not accept breach of contract. We have terminated his services as an actor with immediate effect. We wish him all the best for the future.”
In response, Paras said that he had not signed Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 10 when the producers of Anupamaa terminated his contract.
I was looking forward to starting a new journey with Jhalak… But the fact is, when the news broke in the media, I had not signed Jhalak. But the producers felt that I had not informed them before agreeing to do the dance reality show. I can understand their point of view and I should have taken their consent or consulted them before considering the proposal of Jhalak.”
Paras further added,
My character, Samar, had not been seen in the show since the past one year. After Nandini’s (Anagha Bhosale) character exited, my character also had little role to play. Later, many new characters were introduced in the show and the focus shifted to another new family. I didn’t want to be a family member standing in the background and doing nothing. I understand that after a few months, other characters started coming into the limelight. But I didn’t really grow.”
