A technology entrepreneur and his wife were killed in a plane crash in California on Saturday.

The single-engine TBM aircraft N960LP crashed near Glenshire Drive in Truckee while attempting to land at the Truckee Tahoe Airport shortly before 6:40 p.m. local time, the airport said in a Facebook post.

No homes were damaged, although some railroad tracks are in the process of being repaired, according to NBC affiliate KCRA. The plane originally took off from Colorado on Saturday afternoon.

While the official cause of the crash remains unknown, moderate snow was falling in the Truckee area with half a mile of visibility at the time, according to the station.
