Paris Hilton clears up a misconception from her time A simple life.

Before the premiere of his new series Paun Paris & Nicole: Encorewhere she reunites with Nicole Richie to turn their iconic song “Sanasa” into an operatic affair, Hilton and Richie spoke with PEOPLE exclusively about their time on the former Fox series. In doing so, Hilton recalled the viral moment in which she said “What is Walmart?” after Richie said she heard “people hanging out” at the chain store.

“It was just me pretending to be that character. I knew what it was,” Hilton, 43, says now.

“We wanted it to be fun,” she continues. “We come from Hollywood. We basically just played to what we knew the audience would want.”

Hilton reflected on another iconic moment from the reality TV hit, which ran from 2003 to 2007, when she recalled her unique approach to household chores, which included cooking bacon with an iron and mopping on a Segway.

“It was hilarious and so much fun,” she says. “It’s a lot more fun mopping the floor if you’re on a Segway, because then you’re kind of floating around the house. Also, if you don’t have a pan, you can use an iron to make [an] excellent grilled cheese sandwich.”

Like Hilton, Richie also has past moments from the show she’d like to clear up, including when she spilled and then vacuumed up someone’s remains while the duo were working at a funeral home.
