While studying at school, she became interested in boxing. In 2011, she heard the town announcer announcing that Sarpanch Sudhir Hooda was setting up a boxing academy in her village, Rurki, in Rohta Near Rohtak. Despite her family’s financial difficulties, she fervently begged her father to enroll her in school. However, the academy does not charge any fees from its students. In 2016, she participated in the Junior Nations Cup in Ruma, defeating boxer Velma Virtanen. In 2017, she participated in the finals of the Ahmed Khomet Youth Championship; however, she lost the competition. She competed against Ankushita Boro in the 2022 Indian National Championship. In 2023, she participated in the 19th Asian Games and lost to two-time world champion and Taiwanese boxer Lin Yuting in the women’s 57kg semi-finals.
In 2023, she qualified to represent India in the 2024 Paris Olympics. Her position in the game is orthodox.
