Patrick Mahomes is ready to celebrate the Chiefs’ win with his wife Brittany and their growing family.
Just after the win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Wednesday, Dec. 25, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, 29, joked in an on-camera interview that Brittany can now go ahead and give birth after promising to win.
“I told my wife — my pregnant wife — I’m going to get her a No. 1 seed so we can have that baby,” Patrick joked. “We got the 1 seed.”
The Chiefs’ 29-10 Christmas Day victory in Pittsburgh clinched the top seed in the AFC, guaranteeing them home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.

Patrick and Brittany, 29, have a daughter, Sterling Skye, born in February 2021, and a son, Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III, born in November 2022. The couple, who have been married since March 2022, announced on social media in July the “round three” of parenting with a baby girl on the way.

Responding to Patrick’s Instagram Story quote, Brittany captioned the snap of the duo, “Always keep your promises,” adding a smiley emoji and a heart with teary eyes.

Patrick celebrated the Chiefs’ win with his tight end, Travis Kelce, by opening two footballs filled with red velvet cake. As Kelce, 35, took a bite of the treat, Patrick snapped, “I’m watching my weight for the playoffs.”
Brittany, Sterling, and Bronze joined in on the big game, of course. The Kansas City Current co-owner celebrated Christmas and the Chiefs at the same time, posting to her Instagram Stories a video of her daughter “baking and watching daddy” and a sneak peek of “Game day snuggles” with little Bronze.

Although Brittany couldn’t be in Pittsburgh on Wednesday, the Mahomes clan regularly supports Patrick in person at games. Most recently, the Chiefs beat the Houston Texans on Saturday, December 21st. Sterling wore Chiefs gear and ear protection as she cheered on her father.
