It followed Paul’s post last week in which he revealed that his passion for acting has been revitalized by the potential of a new role.
He wrote: “Audition for Twelfth Night to play Orsino. It’s been a while since I got a little closer to the Master who is our pioneer Sir William Shakespeare.
“You forget what a genius he really was and remember how beautiful and exciting it is when you get stuck into his work. It’s an amazing experience! Sometimes I forget how much I need you to wake me up…”
Showing off his acting skills, Paul had a twinkle in his eye as he belted out Shakespeare lines while sitting on the sofa.
With his hair tousled and a neatly trimmed goatee, Paul stared straight ahead for the camera as he sprightly headed off to work.
The recital was applauded by his friend Calum Best, while fans declared he “still can do it” and called him “awesome”.

Paul, who switched to e-cigarettes after years of smoking, said last year it was a “miracle” he was still alive after he passed out at his parents’ home and was rushed to hospital.
The actor founded a drama school for people struggling with addiction after winning a grant from the 2023 lottery.
In 2022, Paul starred on Celebrity Coach, which he later revealed required therapy.
The show usually sees contestants kicked out of the coaches by other contestants, and Paul admitted he found the process “brutal”.
He said of the experience: “I had to get some counseling. It involves a lot of things – like rejection. It’s brutal.”
Behind the title, Paul was a sweet, vulnerable, big-hearted man

Paul Danan may have grabbed his share of column inches in his all-too-brief 46 years, from his colorful love life to his well-documented struggles with addiction, but behind the headlines was a very sweet, vulnerable, big-hearted guy.
I have met and spoken to Paul many times over the years and have always had a soft spot for him. He was funny, articulate, smart and great company.
Yes, he had his demons, but he was very open about them and always strived to be a better version of himself.
He was extremely proud of his theater company, The Morning After, which he founded to help fellow addicts overcome their traumas through drama and acting.
Although he seemed lost at times, and on several occasions he spoke to me about his struggle to be taken seriously in the industry after his private life exploits overshadowed his professional achievements, he clearly found purpose in supporting others and helping them stay on track. recovery.
There was only one thing Paul was prouder of than his recovery and his theater company, and that was his son DeNiro.
Paul beamed when talking about his boy and looked forward to spending weekends with him as he co-parented with the boy’s mum.
His WhatsApp photo showed him beaming with DeNiro, and he loved talking about his offspring’s achievements and his hopes for his future.
It breaks my heart that DeNiro now has to live the rest of his life without his father and Paul will never see him grow up.
The last time I heard from Paul was at Christmas, when he left a voicemail saying he had some exciting things planned for 2025.
I told him we would catch up in the New Year, but unfortunately we never got the chance.
I will miss you Paul. You were one of the good ones in life.
