Paul Henri Nargeolet kickstarted his career by joining the French Navy in 1964. At that time, he was just around 20.

As a part of this position, he was head of the Groupment de Plongeurs Demineurs de Cherbourg. After a few years, he piloted intervention submarines by being a part of the Underwater Intervention Group.
During his twenty-year service in the Navy, he discovered a Roman wreck, DHC-5 Buffalo, and much more. He left the Navy to join IFREMER after being asked about diving into the wreck of the Titanic.
Over the next ten years, he piloted dives to the Titanic four times and collected various artifacts from the wreck site. Further, he even discovered the French ship Lune that sank in 1664 near Toulon.
In January 1996, he joined the company Aqua+ as an executive director. The company started with the aim to produce underwater films. During his seven-year stay, he worked on underwater missions of two submarines.
