Paul McCartney Reveals His New Year's Resolution for 2025

Sir Paul McCartney has big plans for 2025.

On Saturday, December 21, the 82-year-old Beatles musician answered a series of questions from fans on his website, including what his New Year’s resolution is – to “finish the album”.

“I’ve been working on a lot of songs and had to put it aside for the tour,” McCartney wrote. “So I’m hoping to get back to it and finish a lot of these songs.”

He added: “Well, how about that? My New Year’s resolution is to finish a new album!”

McCartney also revealed his plans for a holiday after it He came back the tour dates included a “well-deserved break”.

“It’s Christmas, so for me it’s family time,” he wrote. “We actually already have the decorations ready. And I’m one of those guys who likes to go overboard with the decorations, so I need a minute to sit back and relax and enjoy them.”

McCartney released his last solo album, McCartney III2020 and represents the third part of the musical trilogy that began with his solo album from 1970. McCartney and later followed McCartney II andn 1980

In December 2020, the “Maybe I’m Amazed” singer revealed on The Howard Stern Show that Taylor Swift has decided to push back the release date of her album Forever so as not to conflict with McCartney’s LP.

“I did Rolling Stone cover with Taylor Swift, and she emailed me recently and said, ‘I haven’t told anyone, but I have another album,'” he recalled. ‘And she said, ‘So I was going to put it outside of my birthday.’ And then she said: ‘But I found out that you will put [your album] it comes out 10. So I switched it to 18.’ ”

McCartney added: “And then she found out we were going out on the 18th, so she came back on the 10th. So, I mean, you know, people stay out of each other’s way. It’s a nice thing to do.”

At the time, Swift, 35, ended up falling Forever on December 11, after surprising fans the day before with the announcement of a new album. Forever is the “sister album” to Folklorewhich was published in July 2020.

McCartney followed up McCartney III 2021 with a remix album of songs from artists like Beck, Dominic Fike, Phoebe Bridgers and more.
