Earlier this month we reported that actor Paul Anderson didn’t look his usual self when he stepped out in London.

The Arthur Shelby star looked far from his suit-and-boots character as he shopped at the bakery wearing a chunky cream fleece leopard print hoodie.

He appeared sad and had a pale complexion – and now the film star has taken to Instagram to clarify.

Alongside a selfie showing him ready to shoot, he wrote: “Back to work and back on set today!

“Thank you for all your love and care for everyone.

“The flu has completely leveled me.”

Fans will no doubt be reassured by his explanation after breaking his silence.

Paul appears to be getting back on track after pleading guilty to possessing cocaine and amphetamines following a binge in London.

He was fined £1,345 last month after appearing at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court.

The police officers said that on December 26, around 6:30 p.m., they were called to the pub.

The actor, who stars alongside Cillian Murphy in popular BBC drama Peaky Blinders, admitted possession of the class A drug, as well as class B amphetamines and two class C prescription substances.

A Met Police spokesman said: “Police were called at around 6.30pm on December 26, 2023, to West End Lane in Camden.

“The police came and arrested the man.

“Paul Anderson, 48, of West Hampstead, was later charged with two counts of possession of a Class A drug and two counts of possession of a Class C drug.

“He appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Thursday January 25.”

Anderson, who also appeared alongside Tom Hardy in the twin biopic Kray Legend, was fined £1,345.
