News about Peggy Ann Fulford
Dennis Rodman is one of the greatest athletes of all time. Unfortunately, his former financial advisor Peggy Fulford led him into a Ponzi situation. The financial adviser ran a scam in which she made her own fortune using her clients’ money before Rodman ended her relationship with Fulford in 2015.
As she then attracted additional clients, she continued to work under the guise of a Harvard graduate seeking to protect the fortunes of a retired athlete. In an article by Jordan Greer for The Sporting News, Dennis Rodman said that the whole Peggy Fulford controversy has misled him.
Peggy Fulford allegedly managed to rip off the former NBA player out of about $1.2 million, according to CNBC’s Scott Cohn. In the end, in 2016, she was detained and sentenced to 10 years.
According to Jordan Greer of The Sporting News, Peggy Fulford has been ordered to make amends to the clients she stole $5.7 million from. Greer’s article also claimed that Fulford would only condemn Rodman’s lavish spending if he confided in her about his financial problems.
At the height of her profession, Peggy Fulford defrauded many athletes, primarily NBA players. According to CNBC’s Scott Cohn, Rashad McCants, a former NBA player, encountered similar problems to Dennis Rodman.

Rashad McCants decided to work out professionally with Fulford after being selected 14th overall by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 2005 NBA Draft.
Fulford could easily recall and execute her plan to defraud her clients. She reportedly had two bank accounts, one for regular spending and one for investing, according to an article by Alex Prewitt in Sports Illustrated.
Fulford had full control, so she was able to transfer some money from the investment account to her personal account. The same story claimed she had more than 85 bank accounts, as well as more than 20 shell companies.
